A Philippine Air Force plane crashed in a residential area in Cotobato City killing all 8 passengers and a civilian. The ill-fated Nomad plane crashed in at least 3 houses in Virgo Subdivision, Purok 7, Rosary Heights 9, Cotobato City minutes after taking off earlier today from the Awang Airport in Cotobato City.

Maj. Gen. Mario Butch Lacson, commander of the Air Force's 3rd Air Division was the highest-ranking official among the military fatalities.

List of Successful Architect Licensure Examinees (January 2010)

The Professional Regulations Commission released Tuesday the list of successful examinees for the January 2010 Architect Licensure Examinees held in Manila on January 15 and 17, 2010.. Among 1,092 examinees hopefuls, 550 hurdled the said examination with graduates of the University of the Philippines (UP), University of Santo Tomas (UST), and Mapua Institute of Technology(MIT) topping the list.

Romanuel Abuel Contreras of Mapua topped the exams by scoring 86.80%, while David Xander Torres Lacson of UP Diliman on second place with 86%, comin in third is Deniece Sy Yusun of UP Diliman with 85.40%, Franco Lintag Flores of UST placed fourth with 85.20%. Joaquin Generoso Corpuz of UP Diliman landed on fifth place with 85 percent.

The American singer-songwriter from Conway, Arkansas captured the heart of the American Idol followers by singing “No Boundaries.” The song and his version of “Heartless” both landed within the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. Allen released his self-titled album through Jive Records in November 17, 2009 with a carrier single “Live Like We’re Dying.”

Tamara snatched Villoria’s IBF belt

Referee Bruce McTavish was forced to stop the fight in the remaining 1:45 of the final round thus proclaiming Colombian Carlos Tamara as the new International Boxing Federation (IBF) light-flyweight champion.

Viloria was leading on the scorecards until the 9th round when Tamara start unleashing the punches. Brian Viloria appeared to be wobbly at the beginning of the 12th round and after 14 unanswered punches from Tamara, the referee was forced to stop the fight.
