May 3 is a non-working holiday
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo signed today Proclamation No. 2043 declaring May 3, 2010 as a regular holiday. The proclamation is in accordance to the holiday economics policy of the Arroyo administration, since May 1 (Labor Day) falls on a Saturday, the next Monday immediately following it will be a holiday.
Last year, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo signed Proclamation No. 1841 declaring the Philippine Holiday Schedule for 2010.
