UFC 112: Invincible Official Fight card

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will travel to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for the first time for UFC® 112: Invincible. Also first time in UFC history that it will be held in an open field at Concert Arena, Ferrari World, Yas Island on April 10, 2010.

Two championship bout will top bill the event, on the co-main event, UFC Lightweight Champion BJ Penn will defend his title against Frankie Edgar. For he main event of the evening Anderson “The Spider” Silva will put his Middleweight belt on the line against fellow Brazillian Demian Maia.

It was earlier announced that Vitor Belfort was expected to fight Anderson Silva for the Middleweight Championship, but due to the shoulder injury that he got from training, Belfort was replaced by Demian Maia.

Michael Raz Ochoa of De La Salle University – Taft topped the 564 successful examinees for the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination conducted by the Board of Engineering this month, Ochoa scored 93.10 percent.

On second place was Richard Louie Sanchez Macapagal of University of the East-Caloocan with 92.50 percent, third and fourth place were Ronald Yee Dy (90.50 percent) and Josue Robertson Samonte Reyes (89.10), both from the DLSU-Taft. Felix Manlapao Zaulda Jr. from Mindanao State University in General Santos City secured the fifth position with 88.50 percent.

Completing the top 10 list were:

6. Nico Deus Ochoa Villafranca of Mapua Institute of Technology (88.05 percent)
7. Marco Antonio Cariaga Sunico of the University of the Philippines-Diliman (87.95 percent)
8. Paul Bryan Castor Amagon of UP-Diliman (87.40 percent)
9. Anthony Bayawa Durano of the University of San Carlos (87.15 percent)
10. Noelizza Adia de Leon UP-Diliman (86.65 percent)

Complete List of Bar examination passers for 2009

A total of 1,451 out of 5,903 examinees (24.5%) passed the Bar examination last September 2009. Reinier Paul Yebra of the San Beda College topped the passers with a score 84.88. On second place was Charlene Mae Tapic, also from San Beda College, with a score of 84.60. John Paul Lim of the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) placed third with 84.50.

Complete List of Successful Examinees for Master Mariner (February 2010)

Fifty Seven (57) examinees passed the written phase of the licensure examination given by the Board for Marine Deck Officers in Manila last February 2010. A total of 50 examinees are exempted from taking the practical examinations as they opted to submit a Certificate of Training and Certificate of Assessment in the Ship Simulator and Bridge Teamwork (SSBT).

Purefoods Swept the KFC-PBA Philippine Cup Championship

The Purefoods Giants delivered the final blow and knocked out the Alaska Aces in the championship series of the KFC-PBA Philippine Cup.

The Giants finished the hopes of the Aces to extend the series by winning game number 4 86-76 at the Araneta Coliseum, Wednesday night. Top seed Alaska Aces looking for their 13th championship since they joined the league 1986 but the 3rd seed Purefoods has other things in mind.
