PDEA Burned 600,000 Marijuana Trees in Northern Luzon

Police and operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency raided a 25 hectare Marijuana plantation in Northern Luzon, this weed farmland is located Sitio Banga-banga along the border of Quezon town in Isabela and Tabuk, Kalinga.

Operation “Farmville” was a result of a month-long surveillance conducted by the PDEA and the cordillera police from a tip of residents in the area.

The raiding team was composed of elements from the Regional Mobile Groups (RMG) of the Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Groups (CIDG) of Isabela, Cagayan and Kalinga.

Authorities burned about 600,000 trees that was planted on the area, PDEA estimated the contraband with a street value of 1 billion pesos.
