UFC 99: The Comeback
For the first time the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be held in Cologne, Germany, UFC 99 tagged as ‘The Comeback” will happen on June 13, 2009 at the Lanxess Arena.
The main bout will feature UFC® middleweight champion Rich ‘Ace’ Franklin squares off against former PRIDE® champion Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva.

- Heavyweight bout: Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipović vs. Mostapha Al-turk
- Welterweight bout: Mike Swick vs. Ben Saunders
- Lightweight bout: Spencer Fisher vs. Caol Uno
- Welterweight bout: Marcus Davis vs. Dan Hardy

The previously announced bout between Heath Herring and Cain Velasquez is canceled due to an illness that Herring is suffering. On May 20, 2009, Cheick Kongo was announced as the replacement.
